Flat head socket screw is made up of stainless steel. They are iron-based alloys, which contains minimum of chromium around 10.5%. The presence of chromium offers corrosion resistance to stainless steel and helps to resist scaling at elevated temperatures. Stainless steel also maintains excellent toughness. Considering all the properties of stainless steel, it is the chosen material to use on socket head cap screws for this particular application. This screw is coated with nylon anti-vibration locking patch. When this patch is coated permanently it increases the prevailing removal torque and allowing the screw to be locked in any position. Flat head socket screw has a cylindrical head and internal wrenching features like hexagonal drive hole. It is a type of threaded fastener. The most important reason for choosing the socket head cap screws in industry are safety, reliability and economy. It is used for the application with limited space.
